El Libro de los Guiones is a collection of stories about different short-films directed by Paco Caparrós. The case contains 6 themed-booklets. The use of different colours for each book are part of the director’s intention to listen to different stories and it’s also an invitation to get to know his world. The visible hand-sewn binding, stamping, and embossing, as well as the printing in different pantone colours are part of a detail-oriented and sophisticated way of understanding the project.   

The scene

Take 2. El Libro de los Guiones is a collection of stories about different short-films directed by Paco Caparrós. The case contains 6 themed-booklets. A police station at night (dark black); a burning cigarette next to a whisky bottle; a duel; two people standing back-to-back with a gun on their hands. Cut.

Take 3. The use of different colours for each book are part of the director’s intention to listen to different stories and it’s also an invitation to become part of his world. You cannot understand passions; you just have to live them. It’s ride between coloured pages, Diego López de Murillas’ illustrations and some classy-French comments (low yellow over white–ink); Mystery and murder; First silence, then comes a storm. Cut.
